I haven’t posted in several days and the only excuse I can offer is  just been plain ole busy. Since I last posted  a couple of my brothers from our Soldiers For Christ (SFC) ministry helped one of our local business celebrate their 40th anniversary in business by cooking hot dogs and hamburgers for their celebration. We cooked over 300 hot dogs and about the same number of hamburgers in a four hour period. Oh by the way the temperature that day was in the  90’s and our cooker bumped the temperature up to well over a hundred and it was all done directly in the sun…no shade, we fat people should know better. But I’d do it again tomorrow Levi and Edith and their staff have been a big help in our community for now over 40 years.

I also had the honor of loaning our smoker to another local ministry to celebrate a first annual event. Me and a couple of brothers from SFC was also privileged to participate in “First Annual Integrity Leather” poker run. Integrity Leather  is also a local business owned by long time friends Jeff and Ruth.

Also since I last posted my oldest son, Jeremy, was ordained into the Pastoral ministry by his home church and His pastor  (Bro. Jeff, different from the afore mentioned Jeff) was gracious enough to allow his grandfather, my dad who is also a pastor, to participate in the ordination service. So as you can see my excuse MAY be valid. But I have been doing the things I enjoy most…ministry, eatin, hang with friends and ridin motorcycles. It’s hard to believe how God has blessed me in spite of me. I got an awesome wife of 33 years, a son who is now pastoring, another son who is the administrator of our  expanding child care ministry, a nice motorcycle to ride and friends all over the world. Johnny & Kate, Denny & Susan in Kenya make an old man feel useful and friends like that are hard to find. Friend here like “The Royals”, “Little Jimmy Jackets”, “Militia Mike & Karon”, Dark Horse & Cindy”, Moon Dog & Ms. Kate” and “Jeff and Ruth” even though we haven’t been as close as we once were they are friends of a different rank. I once greatly offened someone by leaving a name out, but this list is getting longer than I thought…so if you are my friend and I left your name off the list, get over it my friend!!!
